The first time I heard this song I was immediately spellbound by the singer’s powerful, deep, and soulful voice. A voice that seemed to really mean its message. The song, although I didn’t understand all the lyrics, sounded pretty good too.
Then the other day I searched for a picture, to put a face to the voice, and I was floored. Up comes this lanky, young, white guy, with flowing dark hair. The exact opposite of what I expected (someone older, or African American perhaps). And he’s Irish.
