I read this post on AMERICAblog that linked to a very good New York Times article about Cindy Sheehan. Ms. Sheehan is the mother of one of the many casualties of this absurd war America is fighting for the Bush administration, or for Mr. Bush rather. Apparently people are getting more and more fed up with both Bush and his war, and now Ms. Sheehan is getting a lot of well-deserved attention to her cause of getting answers from this coward and liar of a President. Rumors started to swirl that she might get arrested on Thursday. I hope they don't do that for her sake, but if they do, I believe they'll make the biggest mistake possible, since if she enjoys a lot of sympathy now from the American people, imagine once she gets throw in jail for, listen to this, "threatening national security," of all things. Oh, yeah, well I bet Chimpie feels quite threatened by someone who has the courage, the motive, and the will to stand up to him, but I don't, and I have the feeling a lot of other people do not as well. Threatening national security? I don't think so. What is this, the USSR? Wonder what the public reaction will be if and when they arrest the harmless, disarmed mother of a fallen soldier for wanting to meet with the President who sent her son to die in Iraq. Wonder how low Bush's numbers will fall if he gives the go ahead for that arrest.

This is a very brave woman. I just hope she inspires more people to speak up.

This president has never had to justify his actions. He just does things his way, and then insulates himself from anyone that would oppose him.

I can't wait to hear Cindy Sheehan say "I sat outside Bush's ranch for the entire length of his five-week vacation, and he wouldn't walk down the driveway to talk to me." Because you know he won't.

That actually sounds like a good slogan for a t-shirt: "I sat outside Bush's ranch for the entire length of his five-week vacation, and all I got was a sunburn!"

It's incredible. And again, I can't believe wallpaper-Laura is inside, sipping iced tea, and doesn't move a finger to force that freak of a husband to take some responsibility for his actions.

And she's a woman and a mother. Doesn't she feel some compassion for Cindy, who actually lost her son in Laura's husband's war?

It's interesting when you bring up Laura. God knows what she's thinking. Could she be one of those subservient women from the 1950's that just accepted whatever their husbands said? Does she think on her own? Form her own opinions?

If there's a soul and a beating heart in that expressionless body, she probably wants to run out there and give Cindy Sheehan a hug. But that will never happen.

Oh, and I love your tshirt slogan. You should suggest that to John Aravosis....

See, even if she were able to form her own opinions, it wouldn't matter. Bush doesn't care about what anyone else thinks, but Rove and Cheney. And himself, obviously.

I don't think he'd listen to Laura's opinions or suggestions anyway. And I'm sure that Barbara Bush would lynch her if she found out Laura actually dared contradict her little primate.

So George, Laura and Karl are out on a hike at the top of a mountain. As they look over the edge, the ground gives way under them, and Laura and Karl start to fall. George grabs one with each arm, and screams for help. As they're frozen there, waiting for help, George realizes he can't hold both. He's going to have to use two hands for one of them, and let the other fall.

Who lives?

This one's easy. Laura.

He can't run for anything anymore, so Rove wouldn't be of much use to him personally at this point, and I'm quite sure he couldn't find another woman so dumb to marry him at this point.

Now... if you had posed this question a year ago...
