Did you know that this quote was featured on Starbucks Coffee cups a while ago? Starbucks did a promotion where they put quotes by famous authors on their cups, and this one made it (though it was attributed to Armistead Maupin himself, not his partner)
Of course, it caused the usual band of rightwing fanatics to go apoplectic, and boycot Starbucks. I guess that's why you can't find Starbucks around anymore, I'm sure that boycot did them in...
