As much as I like Lady Gaga, I’ll be rooting for Adele in each category.  Adele’s 21 is an instant classic, while Born This Way didn’t live up to the very high expectations that Lady Gaga herself had set for it.  Adele’s style is also more what I’m drawn to anyway.

I totally agree with your analysis, and you know what? I kept hearing the name "Adele" for at least three years, but never bothered to really match face, voice and songs. One day, accidentally, I concentrated upon one particular song here at the mall and I started asking and searching till I found out the title: Set Fire To The Rain. Singer: Adele.
I was doomed. I bought her two cds and started listening to her INCREDIBLE voice like crazy.
So thank you: if it hadn't been for your frequent and enthusiastic posts, I would have never bothered...

Thank you!!

Adele's Set Fire To the Rain is one of her best and one of my favorites too!

I remember once reading that she actually meant it as a gay anthem, and if you read the lyrics and think about it, it's dead on.

Go ADELE!!!
