THE GIST: A couple has been trying for a long time to have a child. Desperation has now led them to consider adoption, all the while spending thousands of dollars on fertility treatments. The strain on their relationship has grown steadily along. Will their marriage survive?

Private Life is a quiet drama with some hilarious bursts of comedy that deals with a very intimate struggle that for some couples can turn into an anguished odyssey.

Paul Giamatti and Kathryn Hahn, two of my favorite actors, turn in excellent performances, along with Molly Shannon, John Carroll Lynch, and Kayli Carter.

THE BOTTOM LINE: A good movie about relationships that I would definitely recommend.
