Ray is on vacation this week, and he decided to try and potty train Nicole, who is LONG overdue, since she's almost three and a half now. Unfortunately, it's not going very well. Nicole is not telling him she needs to go, has frequent accidents, and often goes to the potty and then has an accident right after. Or, worse, has an accident, Ray changes her, and then, when she's clean, she has another one, and Ray has to change her again. This is the last of the big issues with kids her age (we went through the not talking and the not eating -- quite horribly I might add,) and probably the worst. I don't know how I would have found the patience to go through it. Thank god I'm working all day (trust me, it's a blessing!!) I feel bad for Ray though. It's his vacation and he has to spend a good chunk of it changing and cleaning up after Nicole, who is very stubborn and even lazy when it comes to learning new behaviors, especially if they are supposed to make our life easier and hers less so. Let's hope for a better day today. Yesterday was quite horrible.
