Mike's boat

Today we spent most of the day on Mike's boat. Mike is a friend of Ray from work whom I had never met before and seems very nice, genuine, and considerate. His boat is, if I remember correctly, an 18 feet motor-boat that can go very fast, as he showed us several times today. They kids were a little scared when the boat was going so fast that it would literally fly in the air and fall back on the water as if on concrete, but had fun overall. Anyway, the trip was fun and greatly relaxing. We started on the Long Island Sound and ended up on the Saugatuck River for a while. The mansions on the waterfront took our breath away. Mike said they are probably upward of five million dollars. I'm sure we saw at least a couple that easily pass the $10 million mark. We also passed a full blown yacht that was easily more than a million, according to Mike. Mike says he often takes his boat out after work, and watches the sunset on the water, which must be beautiful to watch and extremely relaxing. The best tool to wind down, certainly. Going back to the dock, the kids both fell asleep (a very unusual event for Nicole at this point.) I was getting lulled to sleep myself. A very nice experience. Thanks Mike.
