When the first season of Twin Peaks aired on TV, back in 1990, I was fascinated by how extraordinarily different it was from anything I had ever watched before. I remember watching the first season and being super excited when it was renewed for a second.Almost 30 years later, David Lynch brings us back to the town of Twin Peaks, but takes detours in the desert, in other dimensions, and even back in time -- a literal tour de force for Kyle MacLachlan in dual roles.
If you are familiar with Lynch's work you know what I'm talking about when I say that it's "out there," but if you're a fan of these characters, or even just curious, this is one crazy-weird-maniacal-trippy ride you should take.
You'll get flashbacks that reveal riddles from the past seasons, and even clues to help make sense of other happenings.
All in all, it can justifiably be called "a helluva ride!"
