Veep

In the incredibly crazy times we find ourselves on a political level, with the election to the White House of a narcissistic, petulant, egotistical, and selfish five-year-old, a character like Veep's Selina Meyer, originally envisioned as a caricature of our political system, has unwittingly come to embody the new normal.

And all of us who are still sane out there, weep.

Anyway, season 6 sees Selina concerned with securing her legacy, after losing the presidency, eyeing a potentially ennobling Presidential Library. But she'll need donors to fund it.

She's also "working" on a tell-all book, for which she's received an advance, and has to stand still long enough to pose for her official portrait.

Meanwhile, her former staffers try their hand at new gigs, experience ups and downs in new political careers, and occasionally hit it out of the park... or royally mess everything up, making life for Selina worse. What else is new?!

Grade - Season 6: 8

In the final season, Selina attempts the classic comeback and runs for President again. Unfortunately for her, things are complicated by a candidate that is even worse and more inept than she is, Jonah, who is unexpectedly drawing large crowds and widespread interest (reminds you of anyone...?).

After years as her personal assistant, Gary gets a promotion and his role is reassigned, but he's not too pleased with the consequences.

Ultimately, Selina realizes that in order to win she'll have to make the good-ol' deal with the devil, and boy does she go all in once she makes up her mind. But does it cost her more than she bargained for?

Grade - Season 7: 8
