Halloween III: Season of the Witch

THE GIST: After the mysterious murder of a man in his hospital, a doctor sets out to figure out what happened. He stumbles upon an evil conspiracy by a lunatic toy maker who means to murder hundreds of thousands on the following Halloween.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch, the third chapter in the Halloween saga, has the dubious honor of being the absolute worst of the bunch. It also has absolutely nothing to do with the saga at all: there's no Michael Myers, no Laurie Strode, no Dr. Loomis; nothing that references the previous two movies whatsoever.

To be perfectly honest, it's baffling that the production was even allowed to so shamelessly and detrimentally use the Halloween brand to pilfer more cash from its fans; or that more movies followed this disaster.

As a standalone film, I really struggle to find anything positive to justify its existence. It's ridiculous, frustrating, pitiful, and risible. In other words, it never should have been made. Its plot hardly makes any sense and the end result is awful.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Even if you loved the first two chapters in the Halloween franchise, I would recommend you steer clear of this turd, especially since it won't add or remove anything at all from the Myers's story.
