THE GIST: A family wakes up on Christmas Day unable to leave the house, as it's been encased in a mysterious black substance. Their only source of information becomes the television set, which displays an ominous warning: Stay Indoors and Await Further Instructions. Slowly, paranoia sets in, followed by violent impulses.Doesn't that bit of information look intriguing? That is the reason I decided to check this movie out. Unfortunately, my hopes didn't pan out as the end product is pretty bad.
I'd say the first half of the movie is interesting and holds promise, but the second half devolves in a series of ridiculous occurrences that just make you shake your head.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Don't get fooled by the cool and mystery filled poster. This gets two thumbs firmly down.
