Five Feet Apart

THE GIST: A couple of teenagers afflicted by cystic fibrosis meet in the hospital, where they spend a large amount of their lives, and fall in love. However, because of their disease, they cannot physically interact and must keep five feet apart at all times or risk life threatening consequences.

Five Feet Apart is a nice romantic comedy that resonates particularly strongly now that we're all told to keep six feet apart from one another in order not to catch and/or spread the coronavirus infection that's taken over the world.

I wasn't familiar with cystic fibrosis before so this was also an eye opener for me. What a terrible and terribly isolating disease this is.

Haley Lu Richardson, Cole Sprouse, and Moises Arias all turn in great performances and show tremendous promise for the future.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Part funny, part sad, and wholly entertaining. Definitely recommended.
