Juno Reached Its Destination

Late last night, after traveling more than 1.74 billion miles (2.8 billion kilometers) over 5 years, NASA's spacecraft Juno sent a signal back to let our scientists know that it had settled into its designated orbit around Jupiter.


Its mission is to study Jupiter's composition in the greatest detail in order to gain insights into its formation and possibly that of the solar system.
