Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation

THE GIST: Mavis convinces her overworked father Dracula to take a vacation together on a special cruise liner. The gang of monsters looks to be having a great time, and Dracula even seems to have fallen hard for the mysterious ship's captain Ericka. Something doesn't feel right though, so Mavis investigates.

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation is the latest installment in the fairly enjoyable series (here, and here for the previous two) and it doesn't disappoint.

The script wisely expands the horizons and moves the action to a new locale, which helps keeping the franchise fresh.

THE BOTTOM LINE: The Hotel Transylvania movies are definitely worth checking out and safe fun for the whole family. Don't expect lofty tales à la Pixar and you won't be disappointed.
