Adrift

THE GIST: Tami and Richard are both free spirits who crave being out on the ocean. When they meet, they quickly fall in love and decide to accept the lucrative offer of delivering a yacht  from Tahiti to San Diego, for what would certainly be the adventure of a lifetime. Unfortunately for them, one of the strongest hurricanes on record forms right in their path. They will have to leverage all of their skills to survive the aftermath of the storm, adrift on a disabled vessel.

Adrift is a very touching romantic drama that recounts a wonderful and terrifying adventure, all the more incredible because it's based on a true story.

The lovely Shailene Woodley and the gorgeous Sam Claflin star and generate plenty of sparks.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Great acting, wonderful visual effects that put you right in the action, and a hard-to-believe-it's-true story all make for a good film.
