Truth or Dare

THE GIST: A group of friends is tricked into playing a game of Truth or Dare, without realizing their version is inexorably linked to a curse that forces the players to play, with higher and higher stakes, under penalty of death. Can they find a way out?

Truth or Dare is your typical summer flick geared towards the teenage crowd, but it's surprisingly enjoyable.

Lucy Hale, Tyler Posey, and Violett Beane lead the cast, which also includes Hayden Szeto, Nolan Gerard Funk, Landon Liboiron, and Sam Lerner. Overall a nice array of fresh talent we might get to see more of in the future.

THE BOTTOM LINE: A barebones story that nonetheless keeps you engaged and guessing what will happen next. Pretty good.
