Shame

THE GIST: Brandon looks very in control of his life, both at home and at work, but he's a sex addict, and as such he seems unable to control his sex urges. Things spiral out of control when his wayward and somewhat estranged younger sister Sissy shows up, needing a place to stay.

Shame is a character study that analyzes an interesting and touchy subject that's often considered taboo, that of sex addiction.

The handsome Michael Fassbender, a fantastic actor and a favorite of mine, does a great job in a role that requires him to often go from very controlled to almost frantic on a dime.

Carey Mulligan, also a great actress, plays his sister and the gorgeous James Badge Dale his boss, as another man with sex issues.

THE BOTTOM LINE: If you're prudish when it comes to sex you might want to steer clear of this one, since the topic is analyzed in pretty graphic details. Otherwise, you're in for a treat because this is a gripping tale.
