Ocean’s Thirteen

THE GIST: When ruthless and smug casino magnate Willy Bank double-crosses one of Danny Ocean's mates, Ocean decides to exact revenge. This time he will have to engage the help of former nemesis Terry Benedict, who's got his own share of beef with Bank.

After a great first episode and a horrible follow-up, Ocean's Thirteen lands somewhere in the middle, with a screenplay that points more on personal vendettas than pure greedy theft. There are also some rather outlandish action sequences, but we'll let them slide.

George Clooney and his crew are pitted against an unleashed Al Pacino, who is always a pleasure to watch swinging for the fences.

THE BOTTOM LINE: It certainly is a bit outrageous, or preposterous if you will, but it's most definitely a far better sequel than Twelve.
