THE GIST: Just as Sam is ready to resume a normal life, his brain is imprinted with some very important information. Meanwhile, the Decepticons find and revive Megatron, who promptly allies himself with The Fallen to finally defeat Optimus Prime and destroy Earth. Will the Autobots be able to stop their nefarious plans?The first sequel to the very successful but of dubious quality Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen actually represents a noticeable improvement on the original, with a more structurally functional story whose many parts move altogether better.
While Megan Fox still hardly emotes, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Kevin Dunn, and John Benjamin Hickey raise the overall acting bar.
THE BOTTOM LINE: If you're a fan of the toys or cartoons then this one should please you more than the first one did. Surely, the visual effects are its strongest selling point.
