THE GIST: Leonardo is a blind teenager with an overprotective mother and a very close friend in Giovana, who pines for a more independent life. When a new student, Gabriel, shows up in his classroom, his whole life turns upside down.The Way He Looks is a lovely coming-of-age tale that gently tells of the blossoming love between two very scared teenage boys who barely understand what is happening to them, afraid of what they feel and of what the people around them might think.
Ghilherme Lobo and Fabio Audi turn in two very good performances.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Another small gem from the indie world. This movie should definitely be on your must-watch list.
