THE GIST: Just as Ethan Hunt gets wind of the existence of a rogue counter-organization to the IMF called the Syndicate, the IMF is shut down. This doesn't deter Hunt from his mission though, especially when a Syndicate agent seems to be helping him out. But now his former partner Brandt is tasked by the CIA with stopping him.Once again the producers behind this very entertaining franchise hit a home run. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation is another solid entry, with the great chases and death-defying action scenes we've all come to expect from Tom Cruise and his team.
Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames are all back, joined this time by Alec Baldwin, Sean Harris, and a fascinating Rebecca Ferguson.
THE BOTTOM LINE: If you've enjoyed the franchise's previous installments then fret not, for you're going to get a generous helping of cool fun to be consumed on the edge of your seat.
