Captain America: Civil War

THE GIST: After the fight between the Avengers and Ultron resulted in numerous civilian casualties, the world governments produce a document, the Sokovia Accords, that put the Avengers under the supervision of a panel with authority to decide whether their engagement is necessary or not. The Accords split the Avengers down the middle between those who see them as necessary and those who disagree. Meanwhile, a new threat emerges and the split ends up pitting the superheros against one another.

After two very good previous installments (here and here), Captain America: Civil War delivers another stunningly good adventure that pits the two most famous Avengers, Captain America and Iron Man, against one another.

The excellent cast is all back from the previous episodes, and we also get Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and, for the first time since the explosion of Marvel Studios on the scene, Spider-Man (Tom Holland), thanks to a special deal they made with Sony Pictures, which holds the web-slinger's screen rights.

THE BOTTOM LINE: A well structured story, an excellent cast, and eye-popping visual effects promise a hell of a ride, and that's exactly what we get.
