Ant-Man and the Wasp

THE GIST: Having recently traveled to the quantum realm, Scott Lang receives a mysterious message that he guesses is from Dr. Hank Pym's long lost wife, Janet Van Dyne, who got trapped in the quantum realm back in 1987. Dr. Pym and his daughter Hope have been working on a way to recover Janet, but to build a stable tunnel they need a part from a shady black market dealer. They also get attacked by Ghost, someone who can phase through anything and steals their equipment.

After successfully bringing to life Ant-Man, Marvel Studios whip up a sequel that's just as entertaining in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

As the title implies, Evangeline Lilly suits up as the Wasp to partner up with Scott Lang. Michael Douglas is back and we also are finally introduced to his wife, played by the wonderful Michelle Pfeiffer.

Michael Peña, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Hannah John-Kamen, and Laurence Fishburne round up the good cast.

THE BOTTOM LINE: A fun adventure with one of the most self-deprecating and down-to-earth superheros out there is not to be missed.

Grade: 7.5
