THE GIST: Multiple tales about love, family, friends, and friendships, all intersecting and coming together or apart, highlighting the unpredictability of life itself.Director Don Roos helmed The Opposite of Sex, which I absolutely loved, and was one of the brains behind Web Therapy, a TV show I found hysterical, so my expectations for Happy Endings were quite high.
I'm happy to report that (though I might be in the minority), this is a funny, warm, wild ride of a comedy that will have you root for its many characters over and over.
A superb cast that includes Lisa Kudrow, Steve Coogan, Jesse Bradford, Bobby Cannavale, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Ritter, Tom Arnold, David Sutcliffe, Sarah Clarke, and Laura Dern are a delight to watch give life to these flawed and rich characters.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Don't listen to the naysayers out there and check this comedy out! It's lovely!
