Suicide Squad

THE GIST: After the death of Superman, the head of a secret agency, Amanda Waller, convinces her superiors to let her recruit some of the worst super-villains currently imprisoned to form Task Force X, a unit that could be activated in the event of a catastrophic attack on the planet, for whom the government wouldn't officially be responsible. Shortly after the recruiting process is over, the unit is called to action.

Well, looks like DC Comics has another winner on its hands with Suicide Squad, a super-guilty pleasure that allows us to shamelessly cheer for the underdogs and the villains.

The stellar cast is led by a fantastic Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as The Joker, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. Also of note, Ike Barinholtz, Jai Courtney, Ezra Miller, Jay Hernandez, Cara Delevingne, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

THE BOTTOM LINE: A cool script, lots of action, good visual effects, and a fantastic cast: sit back and enjoy.
