The script neatly ties up all loose ends and answers all the questions the audience still had.

THE BOTTOM LINE: As happens with all long-running franchises, the last installment is always bittersweet. It's nice to see our hero triumph over his evil opponent, but it's sad to have to say goodbye. A lovely series of movies.
